We regret to announce the death of our beloved brother Fredrick Wanyoike Rugami who passed away on Wednesday, July 30th, 2008 in Dallas, Texas. Fredrick leaves behind his wife Grace Njeri, son Justin Rugami, and daughter Jasmine Waithera.

Wanyoike was a humble, hard-working man with a strong sense of humour.
He was my room-mate when I first came to U.S.A.
He was a very generous man and used to share with me alot of stuff.
Sometimes he would talk and reason with me like an old traditional kikuyu man. I enjoyed that aspect and I would too reciprocate.

God giveth and He taketh too.
Rest in Peace my buddy.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
(Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!

Don’t grieve too long for me

I am free at last
An angel dressed in white
Called my name,
Another angel blew the trumpet
I knew it was for me,

I was waiting for this day,
I knew it was coming
I was all ready,
I didn’t know how
Leaving behind my family,
my wife, my son and my daughter
And strings of friends
Would feel like

The call was urgent,
the sound of trumpet insistent
I hesitated, as I looked at my wife and children
But I knew my time was come
To go beyond the human life
Where God had prepared for me

Don’t grieve too long for me,
for I have met my maker
I have received the crown of my life.
I am healed of all pain and helplessness
I am free,

So don’t grieve too long for me,
For we shall meet again,
this side of the river.

For Fred Wanyoike
You were real.

Fredrick came to this world with a mission.
His mission was to be a servant of God.
And he had a vision.
His vision was to sit on God's right hand.
So God send His Angels to come for him.
And he obediently went to Heaven to continue God's work.
Although we wept, Fredrick went to Heaven with a smile.
May God bless the family.

You Honored God

Immortal, invisible, for God only wise.
Our Father in heaven is the only one who knows why such things happen. His plans are not our plans and His ways are not our ways.

Baba Rugami, you lived well, you honored God, you have challenged us to trust God and obey Him.
Most blessed most most glorious, His name we praise.

Tuonane milele, tuonane Bandirini kule.

Rest in Peace Baba Rugami

The Lord almighty Giveth & Taketh. May the Lord rest your soul in Peace Fred. May He continue to be providing to your loving wonderful family & give your wife Grace strength & guidance to continue naturing your lovely Children.

Grace pole for the loss of a loving. I never knew the struggle which was being bravely battled. As a couple you were there whenever your friends needed assistance. You both often wore smiles despite the battle you were going through.

Grace, may God continue provide you with abundant energy that you've always had in the past to raise your family & still be a great part of the Dallas Kenyan Family ...... by helping organize special family events for your fellow Kenyan brothers & sisters here in Dallas, TX

Rest in peace Baba Rugami. Rest in Peace Freddy. Amen.
